Amazon:
ASIN consolidation project back on. Amazon resumed the ASIN merge on December 6th. Any item that is listed under what Amazon has determined is a duplicate ASIN will be updated automatically by Amazon. The original ASIN that you used to list the item will remain in FillZ. We have investigated the impact of this change and found that a very small number of ASINs will be affected. To read the FAQ Amazon has created, click here. Please let us know if you are experiencing any difficulties with listings. If you're not sure how to identify listings with ASINs, click here for more information.
Amazon invests in Bill Me Later. Bill Me Later is a payment service allowing customers to purchase items online without using their credit card. Amazon plans to add this payment option, but no date has been set as to when this new payment method will be rolled in. (Read more)
Amazon introduces EasySell Program. EasySell is a new consignment program targeting casual marketplace sellers (not ProMerchants). Sellers send their used media items to Amazon for storage and if the items don't sell after 60 days the seller can either opt to pay a storage fee or have Amazon dispose of the items. BuyBundle:
Closing Shop at the end of the year. Sadly, earlier this month, sellers registered at BuyBundle received notification that the market will be suspending operations January, 1, 2008. They cited a slow start for Google Base as the reason for closing down. FillZ sellers will still be able to process BuyBundle orders until January 1st. After that, you should remove your login information from the Custom Settings page to ensure that all exports are stopped.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.
New Features on FillZ:
Order Export Reports. The cost and source fields are being added to Order Export files on January 7th, 2008. If you are using FTP automation to process orders, please make sure you configure your system to accept these two new fields. For more information, click here.
Keep an eye on the FillZ forum board for the official announcement.
Order Export Reports. You can now export your orders from any folder. If you'd like to review orders appearing in your "In Process" folder, the new feature will let you export only those orders. Log in to your FillZ account, click "Start" -> "Exports." Choose the appropriate folder from the drop-down menu and click "All In Status."
Order Update. If you provide tracking information for your AbeBooks orders in FillZ before you move an order to "Complete", the information is now being updated automatically in your AbeBooks account. What this means is that when buyers login to their AbeBooks accounts and view their Order History, the tracking information that you've provided will be displayed to them.
Another Marketplace Configuration Slot. Sellers using two separate Alibris accounts can now configure their second account through FillZ. Log in to your FillZ account, click "Settings" -> "Marketplaces" -> "Alibris2" and follow the normal procedure for activating a marketplace.
International Sellers. All orders are now appearing on the Orders page with the correct currency signs. Orders from Amazon.co.uk will appear in Pounds and Amazon.fr and Amazon.de orders will appear in Euros. We are still working on the Reports pages to reflect this change.
Resolved Bugs:
Order Export Feature: Last week a few sellers reported that the date on the order export page had been reset to 0000-00-00 00:00. The issue was resolved shortly after it was reported.
Shipping Method: Half.com orders made through Alibris' Partner Program were being displayed in FillZ with an incorrect shipping method. This bug has been resolved. |
